Shorelines & Strata – Portland, Stone – The Shambles

The Shambles – dyed in a deep dark blue colour way

The colour reflects the blue found in the Portland flag which represents the sea surrounding the area.  The Shambles refers to the Shambles sandbank which gives rise to notorious waters around Portland.  The Race is the name of the other blue colour way in this series which refers to the tidal race which also contributes to the notorious waters.

Rare Breed Portland sourced from Whittlewood Flock, Northamptonshire and spun in Yorkshire.

This Double Knit consists of 3 plies and is worsted spun.

A crisp, warm, hardwearing yarn with great stitch definition which softens with washing.
