Shorelines & Strata – Cheviot, Gneiss – Blue
Blue and cream colour way

This is a 4ply semi-worsted spun yarn spun by The Border Mill, Scotland.

It was dyed in the fleece using blue to give a tweed blend effect and the nature of the spin gives it a thick and thin texture with slubs.

The fleeces are from Cheviot sheep which live right on my doorstep here on the Isle of Skye!  The colour way is inspired by flowers and grasses in the roadside verge in the community where I live on Skye.

Cheviot wool is known for its robust and resilient nature and would be great for outer garments
