With an early December birthday, the Christmas decorations and cards in our house usually go up once the birthday cards have come down.  For Christmas 2013 I’ve broken this rule after doing a fantastic Willow Christmas Decorations workshop with Jan Baker, an experienced basket maker and teacher.  Spin A Yarn hosted a great workshop, with Joyce and Sue spoiling us with homemade quiche, salad, cake, biscuits and lots of tea, while Jan gave us this beautiful willow and showed us how to make a range of Christmas decorations.

Willow

Firstly I made this Christmas Wreath.

Followed by this large star which accentuates the different willow colours.

Then we made these little stars where I played around with random rustic additional decor.

And finally this Christmas tree, simple and effective, yet the hardest of all to make.

So I just had to get them up on show and start getting festive a little earlier than usual!

Bye for now
